Welcome to the 457th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the fourth of March - one of this week's clips comes courtesy of MJM legend @justino. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the song and dates of both mystery clips. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Stay safe!
Answer: Congrats to @sumac22 on his fourth win, this time smelling the musty grime of the 6/14/97 "Cavern" and the 6/30/00 "Cavern." New puzzle drops momentarily...

6/13/00 Cavern
6/30/00 Cavern
I guess there are more of those atypical Caverns (with the First Tube-y ending) than I realized. Oh well.
And if you have never heard it, go listen to the Cavern/Wilson/Cavern from Big Birch 7/13/94. Sickest Cavern ever.

Clip 1 is Europe 97 and clip 2 was Japan 2000.
Then, I assumed clip 2 was NOT First Tube.
Next, I figured clip 1 was a jam tune, so I started with Ghost (because of that Lakewood release), and listened to a few long ones I hadn't heard in a while.
Around 1am, I realized clip 1 was Cavern, and vaguely remembered the Ireland version, and confirmed it by listening.
Finally, I looked over the Japan setlists, and there was a Cavern with the First Tube like ending, which I vaguely remember. And I did listen to the end part up until where I thought clip 2 begins and just assumed I had found the clip.
So, I too, did not listen to fifty Caverns. Just some quality 97 Europe stuff. Keep 'em coming.
