SBIX: BIG THUMBS UP FROM SHERIFF YESSMAN

Even [Monday morning], driving through the campgrounds as people are packing up, they're yelling at us, 'Thank you! Thank you for letting us come here and do our thing.'

Everybody's waving, with all their fingers. "

Schuyler County Sheriff Bill Yessman, quoted in the (Rochester, NY) Democrat and Chronicle (7/5/11)

bhersey42 he stopped by our campsite while the trash truck was blocking the road and talked to us...he had nothing but great things to say about the phans and how much better and more polite and well behaved we are compared to the nascar fans!

jackl Exactly what our crossing guard, who was part of the uniformed WGI security detail, said.

His words (paraphrasing) were something like, "Phish fans are smiling and friendly and engage with the security people, NASCAR fans are sullen and walk with their eyes down".
